
Lahesha Williams is a Business Consultant & Instructor based in Chicago. Lahesha is intentional, inspiring, and approachable. With her laser-like focus, she is gifted in providing tactical and strategic plans. Lahesha is led by the desire to instill hope and ignite people to take action in fulfilling their life purpose.
She is a social entrepreneur who runs The DIY Entrepreneurs firm, providing business services in marketing, operations, and organizational development. With 20+ years as an educator teaching GED and technology courses for adults, she brings deep experience to her work. She has also founded a nonprofit organization that served high-school youth in her community and owns an art crafting studio where she hosts events and offers memberships for others to use the space and equipment to hone their craft and potentially start their own business.
Lahesha is most proud that she has been able to provide needed services to startup businesses and establish relationships with clients that have sustained her small business over the years. She was drawn to Uptima after learning about the mission and the unique, holistic way Uptima teaches entrepreneurship. Her advice to entrepreneurs is to use what you have to start your business, including your knowledge, but don’t rest on that–continue to learn different areas of the business to ensure you know the important aspects that will help as you level up.
After gaining her GED, Lahesha continued her education to obtain technology certifications, which led to her pursuing and obtaining her B.S. in Networking and Communications Management from DeVry University.
