Eryn White

Eryn White is a Business Consultant & Instructor based in Chicago. Eryn is an ideator, strategizer, and empath. Her superpower is being a treasure trove of information that ordinarily may seem useless, but to an entrepreneur it’s gold.

Eryn is driven by her passion for sustainable communities through economic development. She believes that in marginalized communities, we must lead the charge to build economic activity. As Chief Operating Officer of a family-owned pharmacy and medical supply business that also owns commercial real estate assets, Eryn has over 15 years of experience in small business operations. She was raised in an entrepreneurial family with her first job working in a pharmacy at 7 years old. She is most proud of her ability to pivot quickly and the flexibility to meet the needs of her community. She is also a Mayoral-appointed Special Service Area Commissioner for the City of Chicago.

Eryn loves Uptima’s mission and vision. As a woman of color with a business in an underserved community, she has experienced the challenges of leveling the playing field in business and creating access. She always says that she has a million ideas for other people’s businesses and can’t wait to brainstorm to help founders bring their visions to life. When asked for her top piece of advice for entrepreneurs, Eryn says to focus on your strengths and outsource the activities that aren’t.

Eryn holds a B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Howard University.
