In a cooperative, ownership and decision-making power stay with the community rather than a single founder, outside shareholders, or an appointed board of directors.
We are a cooperatively owned small business that has firsthand experience navigating the same challenges you are working through. We know how to support you in accessing capital, growing your operations, and building sustainable businesses because we do this work every day as a business ourselves.
Complete one of our academy programs or work with us through consulting, meet our membership requirements, and you are eligible to join as a business owner member. That means you get a vote on our strategic decisions, a share of our profits when we do well, and a voice in shaping what comes next.
Cooperative membership connects you to business owners across the country who are building businesses that share the same values. In addition, you get priority access to our limited-capacity services, discounted rates on advanced support, and special pricing on partner tools and services.
As a cooperative member, you help shape what services we offer. We have built new programs based on what our business owner members have needed as they grow – and you get a say in what we develop next. When your business needs change, your relationship with us can evolve with you.
Our cooperative has three types of member-owners:
Business owners who have completed our programs and meet membership requirements
Our team who run the day-to-day operations of our business programs
People who provide capital to help us grow, without controlling everything
The cooperative model is not charity – it is ownership. When you own your business and a piece of the infrastructure supporting it, that is when real economic power grows. Resources and decision-making stay in the community, and success gets shared among the people doing the work.
